Directing

With decades of experience in the performing arts and his early career as an actor, Asa has developed a skill for helping the talent he works with deliver their very best performances. Couple this with his knowledge of and ability to communicate with all departments and creative heads, and it’s easy to see why Asa is uniquely suited to guide any team and project safely through production and post.

Assistant Directing

For nearly a decade now, Asa has been helping Producers and Directors keep their sets running smoothly, efficiently, and on-time. Making days is a point of pride, and he employs a soft-yet-firm approach, believing that a well-managed team of professionals can achieve great results if given the space and time necessary to complete their work, with just enough pressure to stay on deadline.

Producing

Asa has produced his own creative projects for years, but has recently brought this experience into his commercial work as well, taking on roles from Production Coordinator to full-on Line Producer. Thorough, and with an eye towards detail and planning, he can help you not only come in on-time and under-budget, but with a polished and beautiful final product as well.

 

Editing

The final rewrite on a piece, Asa understands the importance of editing, and has spent years studying the craft and honing his skills. From interviews to action sequences, and straight-forward narrative to expressionistic montage, he can identify and implement the proper style and tone for any project.

Writing

As the blueprint and foundation of a project, script writing is possibly the most important part to get right; after all, you can’t build a soaring structure without the proper foundation. Asa started writing stories and scripts before he ever even dreamt of celluloid glory, and excels at a straight-forward yet poetic style.

The Swiss Army Knife

One of the advantages of working in a small market is that generalization is valued and encouraged, and having someone with the flexibility to perform multiple functions can be invaluable. With his extensive knowledge of the entire production pipeline, if you need a position filled, there’s a good chance that Asa can deliver.
